Third Bar-Ilan Conference on Financial Mathematics (BICFiM III)

Following the success of BICFiM I and BICFiM II, we are delighted to announce the Third Bar-Ilan Conference in Financial Mathematics (BICFiM III), to be held on Wednesday-Thursday May 30-31 2018 on the Ramat Gan campus of Bar-Ilan University.

Prize Competition

Once again, two prizes will be awarded at the conference for outstanding papers in financial mathematics, one general prize, and one young researcher prize. The general prize this year goes to Zachary Feinstein of Washington University in St.Louis. The young researcher prize goes to Andreas Sojmark, a PhD student at Oxford University.

Technical Stuff

Registration Please indicate your intent to attend the conference by sending email to Rivka Wolberger at with your full name and affiliation, email address and a cellphone number (that will be active on the days of the conference). For non-speakers there is a registration fee of 200 Israeli Shekel (roughly 50 US dollars), payable in cash on arrival, to cover costs, lunches and refreshments on both days of the conference.

Students can register for free - but sorry, no lunch.

Hotel. There is no official conference hotel, participants are expected to make their own accomodation arrangements. There are many hotels in all price ranges in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, with reasonable (but not very quick) public transport access to Bar-Ilan. The closest hotel is the Kfar Maccabiah hotel in Ramat Gan. There is a group rate available for rooms at Kfar Maccabiah, if interested please ask for details on registration.
