The Twenty-fifth Israeli Mini-Workshop in Applied and Computational Mathematics

Registration Program

We are pleased to invite the Israeli applied math community to participate in the twenty fifth Israel Mini-Workshop in Applied and Computational Mathematics, to be held in the Beck Auditorium at Bar-Ilan University on Wednesday December 25th 2019. These workshops have been running since 2003. For information on previous meetings click here. The idea is to create a forum for workers in applied mathematics, especially younger faculty and students, to get to know other members of the community, and promote discussion and collaboration.

Speakers:.

Registration: Participation is free, but we ask that you let us know if you are coming, so we can prepare properly. Please use this form to register. Please register by noon on Monday December 23th

Organizers: Gil Ariel and Jeremy Schiff, Department of Mathematics, Bar-Ilan University (arielg "at" math.biu.ac.il and schiff "at" math.biu.ac.il).

Location, Access, Parking: The workshop will take place in the Beck Auditorium. This is officially Room 069 under Building 410, but it has its own entrance from a tunnel passing between Buildings 410 and 405 (opposite the cafeteria). See The Campus Map.

Due to crowded conditions on campus we cannot provide on-campus parking. Please use the public parking lots outside (near building 1401 on the map, cost on the order of 101 sheqel). There is a free shuttle that drives around the campus and parking lots - useful if it is raining.

Please note that to enter the Bar-Ilan campus it is necessary to have some form of ID (identity card or passport).

Bar-Ilan can be accessed by bus from Jerusalem (line 400), Rehovot (line 164) and Tel Aviv (lines 45,68,70 and others). For access from Beer Sheva and Haifa we recommend taking the train to the Tel Aviv central station and then a bus or a taxi.

Join the mailing list: If you want to hear about workshops like this in the future, please consider joining the Google appl-math-israel group, which is a forum for announcements of interest to the applied math community in Israel.
